What our Spring Cleanup Entails
Blow Out
To start, we will do a light blow of the clippings and debris from your flower beds, walkways, porch, or anywhere that needs it. By the end of the clean-up, this will be raked/sucked up by the mower leaving your yard looking spotless.
Power Raking
Just like anything else, without giving your lawn a proper amount of time and keen attention, you can’t expect it to be healthy and looking good. Power raking your lawn is one of those necessities if you desire superb turf. Although, not all lawns need to be power raked. Most companies will sell you on power raking as a one size fits all solution. But the truth is not all lawns need power raking. We can judge by the level of thatch and compaction on your lawn whether you need power raking, or if you're better off without. We will asses your level of thatch, determine if power raking is necessary, and make the correct adjustments to pull up the right amount of thatch without harming your root system. After, we'll go over your lawn with hand rakes to make sure all the excess debris is removed and bagged.
Core Aeration
Core aeration can help make your lawn healthier and reduce its maintenance requirements through these means:
Improved air exchange between the soil and atmosphere.
Enhanced soil water uptake.
Improved fertilizer uptake and use.
Reduced water runoff and puddling.
Stronger turfgrass roots.
Reduced soil compaction.
Enhanced heat and drought stress tolerance.
Improved resiliency and cushioning.
Enhanced thatch breakdown.
Cut and Trim
All of our cleanups are completed with a cut and trim tailored toward your lawn leaving it picture perfect and well-groomed. Using professional mowers and trimmers we make sure no area is left un-cared for
Fertilizer and Overseeding
After completing the cut and trim, we apply fertilizer and overseed to your lawn.
We use a specialty slow release spring fertilizer with the right balance of nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium. We also use a specialty blend grass seed that will promote blade strength and formation of new roots to compliment your lawn's current growth. After the cleanup is the ideal time to fertilize/overseed and we make sure your grass gets the right nutrients at the right time.
